Google recently announced a change to their Terms of Service that will have a big impact on the way your personal information, and likeness, is used. Google is calling this “feature” Shared Endorsements. Most importantly, they have decided to make you opt-out of having your name and Google profile photo used in ads or alongside products in their search results. Based on your search history, online purchases, and reviews Google will now decide whether you endorse a product or not. While one step closer to a no such thing as privacy world, you can opt-out of this.
How to Opt-Out of Shared Endorsements:
To opt-out of Shared Endorsements simply go to: https://plus.google.com/settings/endorsements
Scroll to the bottom of the page, click the check box, and hit the save button.
